Special education programs at Lakeside support students in their Individualized Educational Plans (IEP’s). Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) focuses on placing the student in the best possible learning setting where they can achieve with their mainstreamed peers. There are various levels within Millville Public Schools that address this idea of LRE. First, in-class support is available to have teachers assist students in being successful within the general education setting. Supplemental instruction is also available as an additional support to student learning opportunities. Resource Room replacement programs are offered in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The overall goal of special education services within the district is to grow the educational support to provide a scaffolded approach to lesson attainment.

Please refer to the individual content area pages for special education teacher information and program specifics for grade level as special education modifications are developed on an individualized basis to meet the needs of the learner.
